Waiis was founded in Manresa, Barcelona, four years ago with the aim of using technology to turn everyday journeys into an organised mobility network. The company has evolved from a carpooling platform into a super-app that brings different shared-mobility solutions together in a single experience.
The startup recently closed a €1 million funding round to support its growth and continue developing its platform.
Artificial intelligence at the heart of the platform
The platform uses artificial intelligence and mobility-pattern analysis to identify compatible journeys, suggest meeting points and automate journey allocation, making the experience simpler for drivers and passengers.
