Real stories from people who already share rides with Waiis
-
ÁlvaroI drive to Madrid almost every day, and I used to go alone. Now WAIIS suggests passengers whose schedules and routes fit mine, and all I have to do is confirm.
Driver
-
MartaI work from home some days and go to the office on others. WAIIS adapts to my week: I select the days I need to travel, and the app finds options without me having to message anyone.
Passenger
-
SergioI like that I don’t have to take a detour or organise groups. The app tells me who is travelling a similar route, where to pick them up and how much I’ll earn for the trip.
Driver
-
AneI used to rely heavily on public transport and waste a lot of time. With WAIIS, I find drivers already heading to Bilbao, and I know the price before booking.
Passenger
-
CarlosI already drove this route every day. With WAIIS, I make use of the empty seats, the app matches me with compatible passengers, and I get paid without having to manage anything.

-
LaiaWhat I like most is not having to search or negotiate. I can see the driver, fare and route before confirming. Getting to the office is much more convenient this way.

Waiis is a carpooling app that connects drivers and passengers travelling along similar routes. Use Waiis to share a ride to work, university or between cities more affordably, sustainably and safely, sharing costs and reducing emissions on every journey.
-
-
Waiis uses artificial intelligence to connect compatible drivers and passengers based on their routes, schedules and meeting points. Create your profile, enter your regular or occasional journeys, and the app will suggest simple, automatic carpooling options.
-
-
Yes. Waiis includes several measures to make carpooling safer, such as user identity verification, public profiles, ratings, activity history and reporting tools. Before accepting a trip, you can review the information available about other users and make an informed decision.
-
-
Yes. If you regularly travel to work, university or between cities, you can earn money by sharing your car with other users. Waiis helps you find passengers with compatible journeys so you can make use of your vehicle’s empty seats and share the costs of each trip.
-
-
Your savings depend on the distance, how often you travel and how many people share the journey. Carpooling with other Waiis users can significantly reduce fuel, toll and daily travel costs, especially on regular routes to work or university.
-
-
Energy Saving Certificates (CAEs) are incentives linked to the energy savings generated by carpooling. With Waiis, you may be eligible for associated bonuses when you make journeys that meet the applicable requirements.
-
-
You can use Waiis alongside any mobility apps you like. Your journeys, routines and matches will work as usual. The only thing that changes is the CAE bonus.
A journey can only be certified once, and at present there is no way for platforms to check whether it has been declared twice. So if you have another app on your phone that also issues Energy Saving Certificates (CAEs), we will notify you in the app. After a few complimentary journeys, the CAE bonus will be paused. This is the discount you receive as a passenger or the extra amount you earn as a driver. To restore it, uninstall that app (removing it from your home screen is not enough) and tap “Verify device” in Waiis. The bonus will also reactivate automatically on your next journey if no other CAE app is installed. Any balance pending in other apps will not be affected.
